Sports and Remedial Massage Introductory Offer

Love Holistic Therapies is now offering Sports and Remedial Massage as available treatments. What is a Sports Massage I hear you ask? Sports massage is a deeper form of massage that can be given before, during and after sporting events, as well as a general maintenance massage to promote peak fitness. It is effective for releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the muscular-skeletal system. Regular massage can help athletes to prevent injuries, especially from overuse. It can release the stress and accumulation of tension on the joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles, especially as the treatment will focus on both the origins and insertions of the muscles.
So what is Remedial Massage? Remedial massage is part of sports massage therapy where the focus is on one particular problem area or injury using deep tissue massage. Rather than receiving a full body treatment, massage and manipulation will be focused on one area, stretching and working the muscle fibres or scar tissue. It helps to deal with pain, speed up healing and remove lesions. To help with the healing, audio sonic treatment may be given, which involves the use of soundwaves to penetrate the tissues that are inaccessible to conventional manipulative techniques.
Anyone can receive a Sports/ Remedial massage, not just athletes. It will benefit everyone and can also help with common conditions, such as frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, back pain, rotator cuff, carpal tunnel syndrome, runners' problems and many more.

As an introductory offer, and for a limited time only I am offering this treatment for £30. So try it whilst it's cheap!

Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist.

So I've finally done it. Yesterday I had my last practical assessment for my Sports/ Remedial massage diploma- and I passed! After a tricky back, neck and shoulder client, I managed to reduce the muscle tension and remove a few wee nodules so performed a successful massage. So it's now time for elbows, fists and arms and lots of nice stretches for everyone. If you've got any niggles or problem areas, or just fancy a deeper massage, then pay me a visit and I'll sort you out. I also had to be a guinea pig for a reflexology student so ended up having a sit down myself. I haven't had reflexology since I trained- nice surprise really.

Race For Life- I'm Famous!

I am now officially famous as my name has been seen in print! This month's International Therapist has a full page article about the Race for Life events in the north west that some of us helped out at. I was involved in the race at Tatton Park, in Cheshire and it was fun for all concerned. Lots of people were dressed in silly costumes and didn't care how they looked as it was all for charity. It's a great cause and helps to raise much needed money for Cancer Research. Most people are touched in some way by this cruel illness and the more that we can do to help the better. Hence, free massages at Race for Life. Unfortunately, no pictures of yours truly but a mention will do for now!
